Commercial and corporate law

Company law, commercial contracts, negotiable instruments and commercial disputes.

Commercial law covers the commercial enterprise, the formation and operation of companies, negotiable instruments and dealings between merchants. The Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102 provides different regimes of liability and different decision-making procedures according to the type of company.

For commercial claims and damages whose subject is the payment of a sum of money, recourse to mediation is a precondition to bringing an action. On the corporate side, keeping the share ledger and the resolutions of the general assembly and the board in proper form materially reduces later disputes.
